Opara Jerry Michael is a multidisciplinary artist born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, in 1999. He majored in philosophy at the University of Lagos. The human condition in relation to politics, society, and religion is a recurring theme in his artwork. Michael showed an early enthusiasm for the arts but didn't start creating professionally until 2016. He began his art career as a traditional artist but switched to digital art during the 2020 lockdown.
